The Popular Notebook Trends Trends At The Moment

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

There’s been no slow down in the laptop computer business. So massive demand but low supply according to what manufacturers are anticipating. This is one business which I don’t think will be affected with all the economic trouble that seems to be going on. Brands are trying to structure the technology cycles but that doesn’t prevent anyone from arriving and enchancing things.

More people are purchasing notebooks for gaming as of late. The price tags on new technology usually dips fast these days because everybody is always searching for the latest product to be released. The power of gaming notebooks has greatly optimised and its really a feasible means of gaming. I think what’s vastly impressive is how thin the designs are and how low operating temperatures are the units run. With that mentioned gaming notebooks should never be thought of in the same playing field as their desktop rivals. There will be a difference and the emphasis here is that its not a big deal for most. It’s a niche to keep an eye on as potential customers are looking for portable, more potent systems as we speak.

Many small assembelers provide custom built laptops to niche markets. The foremost advantages here are the fact that you can typically get advanced 3rd party parts in custom notebooks. The great thing is that you do not end up coughing up for unneeded extra’s you do not want. Laptops distributed in high streets are traditionally manufactured for the mass market and maybe this isn’t you. A custom made notebooks this problem. The great news is that there are lots of system builders who do this and they provide super service too. This too is another major selling element.

I can hardly wait to see what laptops come out next. Simple ultra portables are the in trend. Tons of equivalent products have already been launched at an ashtonishing speed. In my opinion the market would adapt well to a 15″ edition based on the same roots. If we skip out processing power I’m sure we’d witness those variants of notebooks today. Judging from what is occuring it seems like we’ll start seeing ultra light gaming models. I honestly don’t know what to await apart from those things mentioned. Some company creating a gadget to be diverse in a saturated market.

A Touch of Elegance: The Very Best Outdoor Decor

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

You can put in a cement walkway or build a walkway with pebbles or small stonesplant flowers, choose beautiful patio furniture, whatever reflects your taste best. And you can usually find good outdoor decorative items for great prices if you look in the right places for what you want.

Shady business:

The best gardens will thrive in the shade. So your plants that are the most difficult-to-grow may be better off planted in the shady spots. This will likely leave more space in the sunny spots for outdoor home décor. But what kinds of things do you put there? If you have shade in your garden, consider yourself lucky. There is a lot more effort involved in the upkeep of a garden that is almost always in the sun. For such gardens or yards you may need certain outdoor home décor that will provide enough shade to make things easier.

You can make shade by extending an awning from the house. And, of course, trees are the best way to make shade. Another idea is to use a piece of outdoor home décor such as an archway etc.

Shade is also great for your outdoor home décor such as garden benches etc, to protect you from the sun and keep you cool.

Stone and sculpture:

The look that certain items such as stone, gnome shaped figures and stone fountains or sculptures of marble, stone and other materials may work best in the sunnier spots for your outdoor home décor.

Patio outdoor home décor:

The best outdoor home décor for your patio is the seating. Getting the right garden benches is essential to achieving the ultimate enjoyment of your patio. Other outdoor home décor for the patio includes things like pots for potted plants, chairs, tables ceiling fans and more.

Landscaping and planting: The do it yourself outdoor décor:

Well, I suppose that you could hire someone to design your garden with natural outdoor home décor. Plants are our personal favorite kinds of outdoor décor because of their allure and fragrance. Here are a few types of plants and flowers that are very popular.

Plants that love the sun:

There are certain plants that thrive in the sun much more than others. Take ivy, for instance. Ivy can be planted in the sunnier spots of your garden. And if you grow your ivy in a certain way, your outdoor home décor can also serve to provide shade and cover for your more sensitive plants. If you create an archway around which the ivy or other vine-like plant can thicken and grow, you have created another shady spot for your garden. This outdoor home décor is practical, lovely, as well as a very stylish. Try making shade with plants that love the sun.

Flowers are the basis of garden décor:

The kinds of gardens that seem the most decorative, elegant or pleasantly quaint are made so by the types of flowers and the style of landscaping used to create them. There are several types of flowers that are especially attractive when in season. And unless you are growing a vegetable garden, you care about the overall look of your garden.

You want your property to be as beautiful as possible, right? So among the very best kinds of outdoor decorations are the many colors and scents and landscaping design of the flowers themselves. Here are some very popular kinds of flowers to consider:

1) If you can get you hands on one, the Dwarf Japanese iris is a beautiful flower, but it takes a lot of attentiveness to keep healthy, so you can not neglect your garden décor if the Dwarf Japanese iris plays a part in the design. The delicate iris gracilipes is rare, but not impossible to find.

2) The yellow trillium as part of your floral garden décor is a wonderful flower with three mottled leaves and a flower top each stalk.

3) The primrose seeds, which are often sown by nature present a stunning surprise for your garden, and are great floral garden décor.

4) The hardy geranium is a spreading perennial, which blooms in loose spikes and will add a touch of beauty to any garden.

The perennials that bloom early, such as those above, paint the garden with flowers, then subside modestly to green or go dormant while waiting for the next spring. Planting perennials is one way to add an annual splash of color to your garden. Here are some more ideas:

5) The yellow ladyslipper orchid. This orchid is a hardy native that in and of itself makes an eye-catching show.

6) The variegated euonymus can serve as a floral garden décor that act as a ground cover, and brightens the shade.

7) Azaleas are early-blooming flowers that provide your garden with a delicate sense of personal style and can certainly serve as floral outdoor home décor.

8) The last I will mention is the foamflower. The foamflower is also a spring bloomer, but be careful to plant them wide enough apart because this ground cover spreads fast.

No matter what your personal taste in outdoor home décor, the possibilities out there are endless. There are chairs and tables, lights, lamps and swings to consider. As well as the decorative beautiful touch that floral outdoor décor can bring.

The type of outdoor home décor that you want all depends on the style of your yard or garden. But there is much to choose from. I have several suggestions right here for the very best outdoor home décor available.

Find Out the Symptoms of Alopecia

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

The medical phrase for having your hair fall out is alopecia. The most recorded sort of hair loss is male pattern baldness and hits typically a third of blokes and girls. This kind of baldness is typically forever. Check out the latest hair loss treatments at Advanced Hair Studio.

Permanent hair loss comes in three ways. Male pattern baldness could occur in the extraordinarily early years of a guys life, with hair loss beginning to happen as young as twenty years. The normal signs may include loss of hair follicles around the top part of the head and also at the forehead. The result might often be partial or full loss of hair.

Lady pattern baldness is similar to male pattern baldness resulting in permanent hair loss. This type of hair loss and baldness is traditionally developed after a female gives birth to a child. The chemical imbalance causes hair loss although ladies do not typically experience complete baldness.

The last kind of permanent hair loss is by Cicatricial. This starts when inflammation in the scalp causes scaring and the hair follicles fall out forever. The man can lose hair folicles in different sections of the scalp, or even spread all over the scalp.

With forever hair loss the fabulous solution for tons of men and women can often be to investigate a hair regrowth clinic in order to gain back hair growth.

Principles for a Productive Environment

Friday, June 20th, 2008

A productive environment is a setting in which everything around you supports your goals and who you want to be. Logically, a productive environment must be one that is well-organized.

Every increase in your ability to organize increases your success potential. This is true for several reasons, including the fact that being organized involves the same principles necessary for success: having clear intentions, making a workable plan, and following through by taking specific action.

Let’s start with clear intentions. A cluttered environment is less productive that an orderly one, and reflects a general absence of deliberate thoughts and actions. To enjoy the benefits of working and living in a productive environment that is well-organized, you must first have a clear intentions.

To arrive at clear intentions, start thinking broadly about how you want your life to be. It’s amazing how many people just blunder forward without deliberating such a basic question as, “How do I want to live my life?” Do you want to experience affluence, adventure, creativity? What are your highest values?

Take some time to get clear; when you have a vision for your life in place, it is easier to see the value of being organized, of having an intentional environment.

Next, make a plan for creating your productive environment. The biggest organizational problem for most people is paper. Here’s a tip: there are only three possible choices with respect to papers: file them, act on them, or toss them. Clutter is postponed decisions.

With papers, make one of the three choices (with a heavy emphasis on tossing them out). With other areas needing organization, evaluate the following: what are the obstacles, what are my resources, what is a specific plan I could I develop?

For example: a desk in your office is acting as a shelf instead of workspace because it is covered with electronics, catalogues, workshop notes, and a proto-type of your latest idea for a widget.

* Obstacles? Some possibilities: making the time to sort; forming decisions about what to keep; arranging a space to store the what gets kept.

* Resources? Some possibilities: hire an organizer; buy some stackable storage bins for the electronics or shelves for the notebooks.

* Plan? Some possibilities: mark out a morning on your calendar to deal with it, and then stick to it as if your appointment were with a client; take one element at a time, and clear the desk gradually, but daily.

What you do on a daily basis separates success from failure – in any area of your life.

The final principle for a productive environment is follow-through: implement your organizational plan, which should include a system for maintenance, so that your environment remains productive over time.

Part of implementing the plan is selecting the right organizational tool, for example your calendar or scheduler. There are myriad choices, from electronics to paper. There is no perfect calendar for everyone, so you have to decide what you need your calendar to do for you, and select one that fits your needs.

For any organizational issue – time, space, or other – decide the job needing done, plan a system for maintenance, then select the most appropriate tool.

Another part of implementing the plan is identifying consequences for whether you follow through or not. Define positive consequences (rewards or celebrations) and negative consequences (the price).

Successful people follow-through, which brings us round to this initial remark: Every increase in your ability to organize increases your success potential. Give yourself the gift of working toward your goals from an environment that supports you – a productive environment.

Powerful Direct Marketing Numbers

Direct Marketing works!

Why? It works because it’s personal. It carries a message, answers questions and gets orders. Direct Response Marketing works because it is “conversation in writing”.

It works because, no matter what you have heard, read or believe … most people look forward to personal communication. They like being treated as a person – as an individual.

So, if Direct Response Marketing is so powerful, how can we as marketers use it effectively? To keep the business we have … to find new business?

As with most disciplines, these powerful “Direct Marketing Numbers” are common sense. Here’s a list of a few “Numbers” to make your Direct Response Marketing work for you:

60 – 30 – 10

A full 60% of your Direct Marketing success is making certain your message gets to the person who can buy what you have to sell. It’s very easy for the wrong person to say “no”.

An offer will be 30% of your Direct Marketing success.

What’s an offer? It is a reason for your prospect to do business with you. It’s the urge to action. It’s an incentive to get your audience to raise their hand. To indicate a willingness to talk with you. It’s a reason to respond.

The 10% remaining is creative. Not unimportant … certainly less important. And although it is the fun part of marketing – without a clearly identified audience and a sound offer – your creative has little chance of giving you a winner.

Now, once you’ve clearly identified your marketplace and put together an offer of interest – how DO you get your Direct Marketing message read, heard, seen, understood and acted upon?

A few more “Powerful Numbers”

Lucky 13

Write your message for a 13 year old reading level.

Television news, the morning newspaper and by far the majority of our conversation is at a 13 year old reading level.

Exceptions? Sure. The Wall Street Journal is written at a 17 year reading level.

11

Keep your opening paragraph to 11 words or less.

Yes, I did say paragraph!

Why? Because, by opening quickly you slip your reader into your full message. Make your letter, your brochure, the print advertisement – everything you write – easy to read. A quick beginning helps.

14

All your sentences should average 14 words or less.

The best way to write short: use a period. Yes, every so often insert the “dot”. It works. And it will help you get read.

1, 2, 3, 4 & 5

Use words of 5 letters or less. About 70% of all your words should be 5 letter words, or less.

Why? Because they are easy to read – easy to understand. Your message will be quickly absorbed.

The 500 most common words in English have 13,000 meanings. No wonder we have trouble with basic communication. One answer is to go short. It pays with results.

7

Keep ALL paragraphs to a maximum of 7 lines. Never more than 7…and sometimes just 1 or 2. i.e., short paragraphs.

Again, why? Because a large block of copy looks tough, even if it is not. The tactic of short makes your message look more inviting.

1

A postscript (P.S.) is mandatory in every direct mail letter. Because 4 of 5 of your readers will read the P.S. first … before they read anything else in your letter.

5

Indent every paragraph 5 spaces.

This “Number” is really physiology – not marketing. Our eyes pull us “in” when we see indents. They pull us to a point – and while we’re there, we read. It works. Indent all paragraphs.

On the other side of the paragraph – the right side – use the ragged right design. Do not justify margins! Do not proportionally space your sentences. Ragged right increases readership.

1/2

Whenever you go to a second page in a letter – split the last sentence in half.

Begin it at the bottom of the first page…end it at the top of the next page. Why? To pull-l-l-l the reader with you. “Make” them turn the page. Keep them reading.

The same tactic works in anything printed with columns. Such as brochures, reply forms, print ads…anything. Split the last sentence…the last paragraph in two. And move the reader to the next column.

481

Be specific. The number 481 is much more specific – and much more believable! – than saying “almost 500″.

Odd numbers get more attention than even. Use 3 – 5 – 7 – 9 and you are more likely to be noticed. A list of 11 is better than a list of 10. 99 or 101 ideas is better than an even 100.

One more thing on numbers; use the number – not the word. As I have done in this article. The number 3 or 7 is easier to see, read and understand than the word three or seven.

30

Offers with a date work to get more action – more response. Try a Limited Time Offer.

Good for only 30 days…or better yet, “This offer good only until August 31″ gets action. Test making your offer a Limited Time Offer. It can increase your response.

There are many more “Powerful Numbers” in Direct Marketing. This list will get you going to make your mail, your print, your collateral materials – all your written communication – just that much better. Good writing!

Institution

Should the church as an institution be loved?

In conversation about church there is always the obligatory reminder that the “church is the people.” That is true and should never be forgotten. But the church is also an entity in itself full of tradition. The church is made up, not only of current members, but of all who have gone before. She has a legacy of blood, sweat and tears. People have given their lives to form the institution.

As a Christian people, we belong to God. The Church belongs to God. She is the bride of Christ. She is his body made up of many members, yet one. She has a purpose.
Determining that purpose is often fraught with deep battles of will and conscience. Some see her as a well where Christians go to drink and be filled. She is. Some see her as a springboard for “going forth into all the world.” She is. Some see her as a source of social interaction in an otherwise lonely world. She is. The church, this battered institution, is all these things and more.

There is comfort in tradition. It binds us as a scattered people. Attending church in a strange town with folks who are unfamiliar to us, one can sing hymns and make statements of faith that bring unity. In this time and this place strangers are family. For this hour there is one church, the body of Christ. The tradition of the institution spans space and time. It makes tangible the promise of Christ that where two or more are gathered in his name, He will be in the midst of them. The communion of saints is mortar in a fragmented world. Worship is the tie that binds.

Worship is one facet of the institution. It is the heart and soul. Before the church can go out into the world she must acknowledge her Creator and Sustainer. The tradition, hymns and creeds come from a long line of people who could no longer contain their love of God and of His people. They put words to paper to offer back to God their souls in gratitude and joy. The people read and sing in hopes of making the same offering. Church, the institution, retains the legacy so that Church, the people, may express devotion to God as one.

The expectation is that this body of believers will leave worship refreshed , renewed and full of wonder at the grace of God through Christ and carry this wonder out into the world, out of the safety and familiarity of the institution.

The Holy Spirit draws us in, refreshes us and sends us back out.

The Institution is a Holy entity bought by Christ to make Himself evident to the world. As such she is to be loved.

The Five Most Popular Questions About Bankruptcy

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

WILL MY CREDITORS STOP HARASSING ME?

Yes, they will! By law, all actions against a debtor must cease
once bankruptcy documents are filed. Creditors cannot initiate
or continue any lawsuits, wage garnishees, or even telephone calls
demanding payments. Secured creditors such as banks holding, for
example, a lien on a car, will get the stay lifted if you cannot
make payments.

WILL MY SPOUSE BE AFFECTED?

Your wife or husband will not be affected by your bankruptcy if
they are not responsible (did not sign an agreement or contract)
for any of your debt. If they have a supplemental credit card
they are probably responsible for that debt.

However, In community property states, either spouse can contract
for a debt without the other spouse’s signature on anything, and
still obligate the marital community. There are a few exceptions
to that rule, such as the purchase or sale of real estate; those
few exceptions do require both spouse’s signatures on contracts.
But the day to day debts, such as credit cards, do NOT require
both spouses to have signed.

Your bankruptcy lawyer will be able to guide you in this regard.

WHO WILL KNOW?

Chapter 7 filings are public records. However, under normal circumstances,
no one will know you filed for Chapter 7. The Credit Bureaus will
record your filing and it will remain on your credit record for
10 years.

WILL I EVER GET CREDIT AGAIN?

Yes! A number of banks now offer “secured” credit cards
where a debtor puts up a certain amount of money (as little as
$200) in an account at the bank to guarantee payment. Usually
the credit limit is equal to the security given and is increased
as the debtor proves his or her ability to pay the debt.

Two years after a discharge, debtors are eligible for mortgage
loans on terms as good as those of others, with the same financial
profile, who have not filed Chapter 7. The size of your down payment
and the stability of your income will be much more important than
the fact you filed chapter 7 in the past.

The fact you filed Chapter 7 or 13 stays on your credit report
for 10 years. It becomes less significant the further in the past
the filing is. The truth is, that you are probably a better credit
risk after bankruptcy than before.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

Costs for filing your bankruptcy will vary depending on the type
of bankruptcy you are seeking. The rule of thumb is that a consumer
bankruptcy will cost approximately $200. This does not include
attorney fees that can run between $700 and $1500 depending on
the nature and complexity of your case. Many bankruptcy lawyers
will give you a free initial consultation. You can keep the fees
down by being well organized and well prepared. You may also be
able to keep the fees down by not requiring the lawyer to attend
the meeting of creditors with you. Check this with your lawyer.
In some states such as Massachusetts, attorneys must attend the
Section 341 meeting with the debtors otherwise attorneys are deemed
to have NOT represented the debtors.

These fee quotes are mere estimates based on nationally reported
averages and subject to variation and change. Please consult with
your local bankruptcy court and with legal counsel on fees before
commencing any action.

Bank Fraud

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Along with the exceptionally low interest rates of recent years has come an unfortunate companion: predatory lenders. The commercial noise of all the competing lenders in the home mortgage loan market often obscures the very real problem of predatory lending. If you’ve recently taken on a mortgage or
are thinking of refinancing your home, it’s critical that you be aware of the inherent dangers of borrowing money.

Though predatory lending practices are most prevalent among those with lower incomes, the tactics extend to all consumers. It’s important to educate yourself in order to avoid being taken in inadvertently. Anyone using the right terminology and offering great rates can appear to be a legitimate banking-related business, but beware of the many signs of those who are simply looking to defraud you and your family.

Among some of the most common warning signs of bank fraud are the following:

Excessive fees, severe prepayment penalties, so-called “Yield Spread Premiums,” which are kickbacks to brokers, and loan flipping. This is the common practice of repeated refinancings on one home. These transactions garner the lender repeated profits from closing fees and more, but are of no benefit whatsoever to the borrower.

Each year, an astounding $25 billion of American savings is taken in the form of predatory mortgages, payday loans, overdraft loans, tax refund loans, and excessive
credit card debt. Predatory mortgages alone make up nearly $10 billion in fraudulent fees, charges, and kickbacks. Bad lenders count on consumers being unaware of their rights when it comes to the complicated process of obtaining a home loan.

If you suspect any questionable fees or terms within your mortgage agreement, you may want to consider performing your own Do-It-Yourself Kitchen Table Audit or having a mortgage audit conducted. The complex mortgage landscape in recent years has unfortunately invited increased abuses among shady lending organizations. Even if you think your mortgage fees were legitimate, it doesn’t hurt to get your closing documents out and perform your own Kitchen Table Audit.

Do-It-Yourself Kitchen Table Audit

In order to perform the Do-It-Yourself Kitchen Table Audit to find out if you are a victim of predatory lending and bank fraud you will need to get your mortgage documents out on the Kitchen Table.

What you need to do is to get your Settlement Statement out of the pile and take a look at line number 800. Items Payable In Connection With the Loan.

The Settlement Statement, usually called the “HUD-1″ is a U.S. Government model document that the closing agent uses to account for and disperse all the monies payable in connection with the loan.

In the case of Bank Fraud you are looking for a “premium”, “YSP” or “yield spread premium” or “service fee” paid outside closing” (POC). This is known as an “illegal kickback” usually found in line item numbers 800 through 900 or in the 1300 through 1400 series of numbers.

Were you charged high closing costs (points and fees) along with an origination fee on the mortgage? Often times the broker will charge exorbitant fees in the range of $15,000. These fees are unconscionable and are illegal.

Do you believe you were treated unfairly by your mortgage company? Has correspondence with the mortgage company gone unanswered? (Mortgage companies have a statutory obligation to respond to complaints and requests for explanations of accounts. Often, they don’t. Each failure may entitle you to $2,000. If your claim against the mortgage company may exceed the number of monthly payments you allegedly missed, the mortgage company may not be able to prove that you are in default.)

Did you receive your copy of the loan documents at the closing (as opposed to being sent to you later)?

Did you sign a document at the closing stating that you were not canceling?

Did the closing occur by mail, or at your home, or in another city?

Perhaps you’ve found fees on your mortgage statement for “property preservation” or other “advances.” Or perhaps you’ve noticed that your principal never seems to go down. Some consumers find that their monthly payments are not posted in a timely manner. There is help for consumers; laws written by congress to protect consumers such as The Truth In Lending Act and RESPA to separate the legal from the illegal, and in certain cases, to help you recover costs.
