Datelessness is an unfortunate popular feeling and totally neglected in my behavioral makeup. But I do have a tender heart. Winter of 09 was an exception, I had no choice but to escape from a 3-year cohabitation which meant a lot for us but just deadended for both of us. Therefore somone might say it has been years since I was dating. I don’t have the great expectations for dating I once did.

I’m not used to being single. One thing is for sure, I refuse to lounge about, peacefully devowering Lost reruns. The biggest reason for this spell of temporary dating loneliness? We’re not in high school, and most ladies I meet at work are taken.

My go-getting football friend, Jim, who will never have dating lameness, sympathized because he is currently in a similar place. He linked me to the Great Expectations Dating service. Of course, I can’t argue with introductions with sophisticated women who share my passions. Surprise, I got real about my dating life and signed up.

I told myself, there ain’t room to complain due to not having plans when ya haven’t even put yourself into the game. Like our college soccer coach Paul Jennings often said between war stories, “There’s other fish in the bowl, turbo.”

Coach was crazy, and a little out of touch. Still, the man was truly a wise sould in a round about way. He was likable in all ways. This fun company offering matchmaking services in Dallas that I use might’ve short circuted the gipper’s brain.

At yesterday’s Great Expectations dating events I mingled with a ton of insightful and appealing ladies that catch my eye. I actually had a blast with a few terrific incredible people. Went home with an exchange of digits, and as a plus, I grew some social networking acquaintances for my career. Right on!

Get out there. Can’t complain if you don’t try. Don’t sell yourself short, believe in your own great expectations for dating.
